Job Description
A Property Management Officer is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and financial performance of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties. The role ensures that properties are well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and the property owner’s investment is protected and profitable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day property operations and ensure smooth management
- Manage tenant relations, including inquiries, complaints, and lease concerns
- Facilitate tenant onboarding, lease agreements, and renewals
- Monitor rent collection and follow up on overdue payments
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and inspections of the property
- Supervise contractors, service providers, and maintenance staff
- Ensure compliance with local laws, safety standards, and building regulations
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and expense tracking
- Maintain accurate records of tenants, contracts, and property activities
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure quality standards
Qualifications
- Education: Business Administration, Property Management, Engineering (preferred for technical properties) – Civil
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in property management, real estate, or facilities management
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Good organizational and time management abilities; Basic financial and accounting knowledge; Problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills; Attention to detail and ability to multitask
