About the role
Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a Property Engineer (Augment) to join our team on a contract basis. This is a project engineering role based in Pasay City, Metro Manila. As a Property Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing engineering aspects of property-related projects, ensuring that all facilities, systems and infrastructure meet operational standards and regulatory requirements. Your technical expertise and project management capabilities will directly contribute to the successful delivery of our property initiatives and the maintenance of our built assets.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive site inspections and assessments of property facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards and compliance issues
- Oversee and manage engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and specifications
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, project documentation and technical drawings for property improvements and maintenance work
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors and external service providers to ensure quality workmanship and timely project delivery
- Manage building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural and fire safety systems to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for property upgrades and capital improvement projects
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular cost tracking and variance reports
- Ensure all property maintenance and engineering work complies with local building codes, regulations and safety standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues and defects in a timely manner to minimise operational disruptions
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in property engineering, facilities management or project engineering
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols and engineering best practices
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
- Experience with project management tools, software and methodologies
- Solid understanding of Philippine building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence or eligibility for licensure in the Philippines is advantageous
- Experience in commercial or industrial property management is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining quality standards
