Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The role holder will support the management of the FinLines portfolio, contributing to the department’s overall growth and profitability.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluates, analyzes, and determines the acceptance or rejection of new business and renewal within assigned Property & Casualty lines, adhering to Chubb’s underwriting guidelines and authority limits.
  • Takes full ownership of the department’s Plan, including topline and bottom-line performance objectives.
  • Engages with intermediaries to promote Chubb’s products and services, enhancing visibility and strengthening market presence.
  • Cultivates strong relationships with intermediaries and direct accounts to gather critical underwriting information, boost submissions, and secure bound accounts. Collaborates with other Chubb business lines to coordinate business submissions effectively.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the policy administration lifecycle, including data collection, policy issuance, premium booking, credit control, and other related processes.
  • Supports Management in formulating strategies and action plans to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Generates comprehensive reports for assigned lines of business (internal) and ensures compliance by preparing the required regulatory reports (external).
  • Supports the management of global multinational programs when the country serves as the Producing Office.
  • Undertakes special projects and performs additional related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Relevant tertiary education including relevant insurance studies.
  • Years of experience
    • Minimum 5 years Property & Casualty underwriting experience.
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, capable of effectively engaging with professionals, management personnel, and all levels of operations.
    • Demonstrates exceptional time management skills to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.
    • Demonstrates strong adaptability to effectively respond to changes driven by business needs.
    • Skilled at identifying and creating mutually beneficial “win-win” solutions.
    • Effectively identifies business needs to prioritize tasks based on business impact, available resources, and operational constraints.
    • Possesses exceptional analytical skills, enabling thorough evaluation and problem-solving.
