Job summary

Manpower (Philippines) is seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter specializing in P&C/Non-Life to assess risks, evaluate applications, and set appropriate coverage and terms per underwriting guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on underwriting experience, strong risk assessment skills, and knowledge of commercial or specialty insurance products. This role will involve collaboration with brokers, clients, and internal teams to ensure accurate policy issuance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in direct insurance underwriting, specifically in P&C/Non-Life or General Insurance.
• Practical knowledge of risk evaluation, underwriting guidelines, policy terms, and insurance documentation.
• Experience in commercial, corporate, property, casualty, liability, marine, engineering, or specialty insurance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications, assess risks, and determine coverage, premiums, terms and conditions.
• Review risk information, policy documents, loss history, and supporting documentation to make underwriting decisions.
• Underwrite P&C and Non-Life policies, including property, casualty, liability, marine, engineering, or specialty lines.
• Ensure underwriting decisions comply with guidelines, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
• Collaborate with brokers, agents, clients, and internal teams to clarify risk details and support policy issuance and renewals.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify potential risk exposures, and recommend underwriting actions.
