HTLand, Inc. seeks an experienced Primavera P6 Scheduler to own and administer the project’s P6 environment, including EPS/OBS, WBS, calendars, activity codes and access rights.
You will build the master schedule and maintain it as the single source of truth for milestones, baselines and look‑ahead plans. The role requires hands-on P6 ownership on a live construction project, certification or formal training, and 8–15 years in planning and scheduling with multi-prime contractors.
Own and administer the Primavera P6 environment for the project - EPS and OBS structure, WBS, calendars, activity codes, user accounts and access rights, layouts, filters and global change rules. This is the system-administration role for P6 on the project. Deliver the approved P6 integration programme against fixed milestones: deploy and configure P6 within the first 45 days; validate the existing spreadsheet metrics and build the high-level automated roll-up timelines in months 2 to 3; establish the Level 1 baseline with predictive updating and critical path tracking in months 3 to 4. Build and maintain the project master schedule in P6 - baseline, recovery, look-ahead and detailed construction schedules - and keep it as the single source of programme truth for the project.
Manage the project scheduling cycle in Primavera P6, including collecting site progress data, updating schedules, analyzing variances against baseline plans, and reporting critical path and float status.
Review and evaluate contractors’ schedules, updates, recovery plans, and time-related claims to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, schedule logic, constraints, calendars, and resource assumptions.
Analyze project delays and schedule impacts, including interface delays between contractors and work packages, and provide assessments using recognized delay analysis methodologies.
Prepare schedule reports, progress updates, delay analyses, and recovery recommendations for project and senior management to support informed decision-making.
Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders on schedule compliance, progress recovery, and delay mitigation, while maintaining accurate records of schedule changes, delays, and instructions affecting project completion.
Demonstrable hands-on Primavera P6 experience as the schedule owner, not as a user of someone else's file. The candidate must have personally built, baselined and maintained a P6 schedule on a live construction project
P6 system administration: EPS and OBS design, WBS structuring, activity coding, calendars, user and access administration, layouts, filters, global change, and import and export of XER and XML files
Oracle Primavera P6 certification, or equivalent formal P6 training with evidence of completion
8 to 15 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling for large-scale construction projects, of which at least 5 years using Primavera P6 as the primary tool
Experience in multi-prime, complex construction projects involving multiple contractors, trade packages and critical interfaces, including interface delays where responsibility has been contested
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methodology, schedule management, delay analysis and construction project controls
Experience in reviewing and assessing EOT claims, delay claims, recovery schedules, acceleration measures and other time‑related contractual matters
