Job summary

DM Consunji, Inc. is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer / Planner to develop, monitor, and control the project schedule to ensure construction activities are delivered on time and within budget.

You will establish milestones, manage baselines, monitor progress, analyze delays, and coordinate with cost, engineering, and construction teams to support timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• With PRC Professional Engineer license, preferably Civil Engineer, is an advantage.
• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project controls, preferably with major building, infrastructure, industrial, or transportation projects.
• Has substantial experience in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Has strong knowledge of baseline scheduling, critical path analysis, progress measurement, resource loading, delay analysis, and recovery planning.

Responsibilities

• Develops the overall project schedule based on contract requirements, scope, and work breakdown structure.
• Establishes project milestones, activities, sequences, durations, and dependencies.
• Develops and maintains detailed baseline, recovery, and look-ahead schedules.
• Monitors actual project progress against the approved baseline schedule.
• Evaluates planned versus actual accomplishments and identifies schedule variances.
• Verifies reported progress with site accomplishments and supporting documentation.
• Maintains updated schedules and ensures timely submission of progress reports.
• Identifies activities affecting the critical path and overall project completion.
• Analyzes the causes and impacts of delays and recommends appropriate corrective actions.
• Supports the preparation and evaluation of Extension of Time (EOT) and delay-related claims.
• Coordinates with the Cost Control, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, and Construction teams to align schedule and cost information.
• Assesses the schedule and time implications of variations and change orders.
• Prepares project planning reports, dashboards, S-curves, and progress updates.
• Provides management with analysis of project performance, schedule risks, and potential delays.
• Identifies potential schedule risks and evaluates their impact on project milestones.
• Develops mitigation measures and monitors their implementation.
