Job summary

MRI India is seeking a Project Manager to drive delivery across the Professional Services organisation, reporting to the Operations Director. The role combines hands-on project delivery with governance, metrics, and data hygiene to improve visibility and predictability of PS projects.

You will manage projects end-to-end, oversee budgets and schedules, coordinate resources, and support continuous improvements in processes, tooling, and reporting standards across the region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Business Operations, PMO, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects end-to-end, including scope, timeline, budget, resource coordination and utilisation tracking, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and aligned to agreed scope.
  • Provide guidance on project management best practices, templates, and processes across the region.
  • Define and maintain project reporting standards and financial tracking for PS leadership.

Job description

Overview

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for driving consistent, high-quality project delivery across the Professional Services (PS) organisation, with a strong focus on governance, reporting, and data integrity. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role combines hands-on project delivery with ownership of project management practices, including metrics, reporting standards, and data hygiene within the project management tool. This role aims to improve visibility, predictability, and operational discipline across PS projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery – Manage assigned projects end-to-end, including scope, timeline, budget, resource coordination and utilisation tracking, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and aligned to agreed scope. Monitor project health and proactively take corrective actions where needed.
  • Project Governance & Standards – Provide guidance and support on project management best practices, standard methodologies, templates, and processes. Drive consistency in planning, execution, and tracking across the region. Support adoption of standard operating procedures aligned with PS Operations.
  • Metrics & Reporting – Define and maintain project reporting standards (status reporting with RAG, milestones, risks/issues), financial tracking (budget vs actuals, forecast accuracy), and resource utilisation insights. Produce regular reporting packs for PS leadership with accurate, timely, and actionable information.
  • Data Hygiene & System Discipline – Own data quality within the project management tool: project setup accuracy, time entry compliance and accuracy, forecast and financial data integrity. Identify and address data gaps or inconsistencies and drive accountability for maintaining high-quality data.
  • Financial Oversight – Manage project financials, including budget tracking and cost control, revenue tracking and forecasting, and billing readiness and invoicing coordination. Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely invoicing and alignment between project data and financial records, maintaining visibility of profitability and margins.
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve project delivery efficiency, reporting automation, tool usage and data quality. Support initiatives aligned with Simplify, Standardise, Automate principles and contribute to enhancements in PS processes and systems.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Business Operations, PMO, Strategy & Operations, or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid)
  • Proven experience managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholders
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., SuiteProjects Pro, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of project financials (budgeting, forecasting) and billing/invoicing processes
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in metrics and reporting
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
