The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for driving consistent, high-quality project delivery across the Professional Services (PS) organisation, with a strong focus on governance, reporting, and data integrity.
Reporting to the Operations Director, this role combines hands‑on project delivery with ownership of project management practices, including metrics, reporting standards, and data hygiene within the project management tool. This role plays a key part in improving visibility, predictability, and operational discipline across PS projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Scope, timeline, and budget management
- Resource coordination and utilisation tracking
- Risk and issue management
- Stakeholder communication
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to agreed scope
- Monitor project health and proactively take corrective actions where needed
- Project Governance & Standards
- Provide guidance and support to PMs and delivery teams on:
- Project management best practices
- Standard methodologies, templates, and processes
- Drive consistency in how projects are planned, executed, and tracked across the region
- Support adoption of standard operating procedures aligned with PS Operations
- Metrics & Reporting
- Define and maintain project reporting standards, including:
- Project status reporting (RAG status, milestones, risks/issues)
- Financial tracking (budget vs actuals, forecast accuracy)
- Resource utilisation and capacity insights
- Produce regular reporting packs for PS leadership
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable
- Data Hygiene & System Discipline
- Own data quality within the project management tool:
- Project setup accuracy (structure, budgets, milestones)
- Time entry compliance and accuracy
- Forecast and financial data integrity
- Identify and address data gaps or inconsistencies
- Drive accountability across PMs and delivery teams for maintaining high‑quality data
- Financial Oversight
- Manage project financials, including:
- Budget tracking and cost control
- Revenue tracking and forecasting
- Billing readiness and invoicing coordination
- Work with Finance to ensure:
- Timely and accurate invoicing
- Alignment between project data and financial records
- Maintain visibility of project profitability and margin performance
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve:
- Project delivery efficiency
- Reporting automation
- Tool usage and data quality
- Support initiatives aligned with Simplify, Standardise, Automate principles
- Contribute to enhancements in PS operational processes and systems
Skills & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in Project Management, Business Operations, PMO, Strategy & Operations, or similar roles
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid)
- Proven experience managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholders
- Experience working with project management tools (e.g., SuiteProjects Pro, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, etc.)
- Solid understanding of:
- Project financials (budgeting, forecasting)
- Billing and invoicing processes
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in metrics and reporting
- High attention to detail, especially around data accuracy and consistency
Preferred
- Experience in SaaS, Technology, Professional Services or consulting environment
- Experience supporting or defining PM standards and governance
- Exposure to financial reporting and margin analysis
