BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is urgently looking for PROJECT MANAGER / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (project-based) to be possibly assigned in the following locations Pagbilao, Quezon or Toledo City, Cebu or Toril, Davao.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field. Engineering degree is highly preferred.
Preferably 15+ years of professional experience in project development and major capital project delivery.
Proven experience managing or leading capital projects valued at USD 200 million and above.
Experience in manufacturing, power generation, energy, utilities, heavy industrial, petrochemical, oil & gas, or similar industries.
Strong knowledge of CAPEX/OPEX, project economics, financial analysis, project controls, risk management, and commercial management.
Experience with EPC/EPCM/PMC, design-build, or other major project delivery models.
Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management.
Excellent business development, negotiation, stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
PMP, PRINCE2, Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
MBA or Master’s degree in a related field and international/multinational project experience are advantages.
The Project Manager / Business Development Manager is responsible for developing business opportunities and leading major capital projects within the manufacturing, power, energy, utilities, and industrial sectors.
The role combines project management, business development, commercial, and strategic capabilities, from opportunity identification and business case development through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project handover.
1. Business Development & Project Development:
Identify and evaluate new business and capital project opportunities.
Develop business cases, investment proposals, feasibility assessments, and project development strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, project owners, investors, contractors, consultants, and strategic partners.
Lead or support EOIs, RFIs, RFPs, technical/commercial proposals, negotiations, and contract discussions.
2. Major Capital Project Management:
Lead and manage major capital projects valued at USD 200 million and above.
Establish project scope, execution strategy, governance, schedule, budget, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, and project controls teams.
Manage projects from concept and feasibility through construction, commissioning, and handover.
3. Project Controls, Commercial & Risk Management:
Monitor cost, schedule, progress, cash flow, risks, changes, and project performance.
Support contract strategy, contractor selection, bid evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
Identify and manage technical, commercial, operational, financial, supply-chain, and schedule risks.
Ensure projects remain aligned with approved business cases, budgets, schedules, and expected benefits.
4. Stakeholder & Executive Management:
Serve as a key interface between clients, senior management, project teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and present executive-level reports, business cases, investment recommendations, and project updates.
Facilitate alignment and timely decision-making across technical, commercial, financial, and operational teams.
5. Facility & Project Integration:
Ensure project solutions consider operability, maintainability, reliability, safety, lifecycle cost, and long-term asset performance.
Coordinate brownfield projects, shutdowns, tie-ins, commissioning requirements, and operational interfaces to minimize disruption.
Others:
Maintain compliance with applicable company policies, project governance, quality, safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
