BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is seeking four Mechanical Maintenance Engineers for a 3-4 month project in Mariveles, Bataan. The role covers overall plant mechanical works, safety, reliability, and maintenance planning with leadership responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree, PRC license, 5+ years in power plant maintenance or heavy industry, and at least 3 years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• PRC licensure is required for practice.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience in power plants or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement mechanical maintenance programs for generating units and facilities.
• Schedule and direct major repairs and overhauls of mechanical equipment.
• Oversee outages for condition-based, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and costs.
• Implement reliability-centered maintenance to maximize asset utilization.
• Ensure PM work orders are completed as scheduled.
• Coordinate design revisions with operations and contractors.
• Develop energy conservation and cost-control policies.

BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is urgently looking for four (4) MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS (3-4 mos. project-based with possibility of contract extension) to be assigned in Mariveles, Bataan.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• PRC License required

• With at least 5 years' experience in maintenance in a power plant or heavy industry.

• At least 3 years of leadership experience.

• Proficiency in Power Plant Maintenance and Practices, Plant Diagnostics and Problem Solving, Work Planning, Execution, Reports and Records Management, Tools and Equipment Management, Outage and Project Management

Job Overview:

The position is the overall responsibility for managing plant mechanical works, ensuring all related equipment are maintained efficiently in the most economical way of carrying out maintenance activities according to the maintenance strategies, policies, procedures, and maintenance plans. The position also ensures a safe, reliable, and efficient control and instrumentation maintenance program implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management

• Prepares and recommends mechanical maintenance program for generating units, equipment, support facilities, and utilities to achieve the desired level of efficiency, availability, reliability, and safety of all the generating units. Implements the approved program.

• Identifies, schedules, plans, and directs general overhauling and major repairs of mechanical equipment of the facilities.

• Directs the implementation of planned and/or forced outages to conduct condition-based, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities.

• Monitors preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance programs and processes to ensure that mechanical equipment malfunctions are reduced or avoided, the cost of repairs is minimized and facilities and equipment are restored to an acceptable operating condition after breakdown

• Implements reliability-centered (condition-based) mechanical maintenance on applicable equipment to maximize utilization of resources.

• Ensures that all preventive maintenance work orders are done and accomplished as scheduled.

• Ensures quality implementation of mechanical design revisions to the plant systems or other improvement projects in coordination with Operations and third-party contractors.

• Formulates and implements policies on energy conservation, cost control, material suppliers and equipment utilization.

Maintenance Coordination

• Ensures cross-functional collaboration, support and QA/QC on all maintenance activities.

• Ensures that toolbox meetings are held/conducted daily and during the implementation of plant outages.

• Ensures collaboration with other teams for the evaluation of unit outages to prevent future occurrence of the same.

Spare Parts Inventory

• Ensures regular reviews and updates on usage rate of C&I spare parts inventory, and min/max inventory level taking into consideration purchasing delivery lead time to minimize and ensure 100% availability of spare parts.

• Ensures availability of C&I spare parts, consumables, and manpower for the overhauling and periodic maintenance works.

People Management

• Develops and/or implements the Department’s approved organizational chart to ensure effective and efficient workflow.

• Ensures that the company’s Performance Evaluation system as well as the Career Development Programs are implemented.

• Ensures the development and implementation of Training Programs and other interventions to improve job skills and enhance performance in collaboration with relevant support departments.

Administration

• Ensures the annual budget for the C&I section is prepared and recommends for approval.

• Ensures planning, scheduling, and execution and monitoring of all activities related to achieving the Maintenance department KPIs

• Ensure timely execution of the C&I Annual Procurement Plan.

Others

• Conforms to the company’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Asset Management, Energy Management, Business Continuity Management System and Information Security Management Systems policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 55001, ISO 50001, and ISO 22301 Standards.

• Reports Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety events/incidents or potential events, or other security risks to the organization/committees-in-charge.

• Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference in accordance with ISMS policies

• Maintains availability, confidentiality, and integrity of documents.
