Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a site supervisor for interior fit-out and general construction projects in a metropolitan area. You will oversee daily construction activities, manage site workers and subcontractors, and ensure work follows engineering plans.

The role requires a civil/architectural engineering background with 1–3+ years of hands-on supervision, strong leadership, blueprint reading, and cost-tracking skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architecture.
• 1 to 3+ years of hands-on site supervision experience in interior fit-outs or general construction.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, blueprint reading, site safety enforcement, and basic budget/cost tracking skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily construction activities, manage site workers, foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with plans.
• Help prepare and monitor look-ahead schedules to keep the project on track.
• Inspect workmanship, enforce local codes, safety regulations, and quality standards; track inspections.
• Monitor on-site expenses, prepare BOM, track material usage, and support cost-saving strategies.
• Conduct site meetings; report progress to management and coordinate with architects, designers, and clients for plan changes.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports, log site activities, and document plan inconsistencies or delays.

About the role

A site supervision role in construction, overseeing daily construction activities, managing site workers and subcontractors, and ensuring work follows engineering plans on interior fit-outs and general construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily construction activities, manage site workers, foremen, and subcontractors, and ensure work follows engineering plans
• Help prepare and monitor look-ahead schedules (e.g., two-week look-ahead schedules), sequencing tasks to keep the project on track
• Inspect workmanship, enforce local building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards, and track required government or client inspections
• Monitor on-site expenses, prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), track material usage, and help implement cost-saving strategies
• Conduct regular site meetings, report project progress to management, and coordinate with architects, designers, and clients for plan adjustments
• Prepare daily/weekly accomplishment reports, log site activities, and document any plan inconsistencies or delays

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architecture
• Generally 1 to 3+ years of hands-on experience in site supervision, interior fit-outs, or general construction
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, blueprint reading, site safety enforcement, and basic budget/cost tracking skills
