Architectural Project In-Charge is responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and control of construction activities on site. The PIC ensures that the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between the client, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project execution plan, responsible for supervision of all sub-constructors, staffs and admin workers in terms of deployment, task delegation, work sequence and development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Manage manpower, equipment, and materials to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure proper implementation of approved method statements and work procedures.
- Monitor site productivity and recommend corrective actions when required.
- Prepare, update, and monitor project schedules and work programs.
- Track progress against approved timeline and identity potential delays.
- Coordinate with QS/Cost Control for budget monitoring and cost optimization.
- Implement mitigation measures to minimize time and cost overruns.
- Ensure compliance with project QA/QC requirements and inspection procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented for non-conforming works.
- Act as the main site representative in meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and planning teams to resolve technical and logistical issues.
- Review and respond to RFIs, site instructions, and technical clarifications.
- Supervise subcontractors' performance and compliance with contract scope.
- Coordinate delivery schedules of materials and equipment.
- Evaluate subcontractor progress and workmanship.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress report.
- Maintain site records including inspections, instructions, variations, and correspondence.
- Support preparation of claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT) documentation.
Qualifications
- Knows how to operate Autocad Software
- Excel, Power point and Document
- With knowledge or background in any scheduling software
- Background in surveying or basic lay-out
- Know how to do estimate specially in CSA works
