Job summary

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a Project in Charge to lead our construction team in Metro Manila. This full-time role oversees projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget compliance, and high-quality standards.

You will supervise on-site teams, coordinate with clients and vendors, monitor safety protocols, and report progress to management. Relevant certifications and experience in steel construction are preferred for this pivotal position.

Qualifications

About the role

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a Project in Charge to join our dynamic construction team in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers a significant opportunity to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. As Project in Charge, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is critical to our operational success and directly impacts our reputation in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution
• Manage and supervise on-site teams, including labourers, craftspeople, and subcontractors
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor project budgets, control costs, and manage resource allocation effectively
• Conduct daily inspections of work progress and quality assurance checks
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including timesheets, progress reports, and safety records
• Communicate regularly with clients, architects, and stakeholders regarding project status and any concerns
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Address and resolve on-site issues, conflicts, and challenges promptly
• Prepare and submit weekly or monthly progress reports to management

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a foreperson, supervisor, or similar leadership role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, construction methodologies, and industry standards
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and motivate workers in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and construction specifications
• Sound understanding of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skillsEffective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Physical ability to work on construction sites and endure varying weather conditions
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management or related fields (preferred)
• Experience with project management software or digital tools (preferred)
