Job summary

VSM Construction and Mill Development Corp is seeking a Project HR Assistant to support on-site project operations and manage core HR tasks from hiring to documentation. You will recruit for project-based roles, facilitate onboarding, monitor attendance and payroll, maintain employee records, and answer policy/benefits inquiries.

Strong organization, communication, and MS Office/Google Workspace skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in general HR functions; experience in construction or manufacturing is a big plus.
• Solid knowledge in recruitment, onboarding, timekeeping, payroll, and HR docs.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace and HR tools.
• Graduate in BS Psychology / HRM / Business or related field.

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Project HR Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting day-to-year project operations by handling core human resource functions on-site, ensuring smooth personnel management from hiring to documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview candidates for various project-based roles
• Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation and contract issuance
• Monitor daily attendance, track working hours, and assist in accurate and timely payroll preparation
• Maintain organized 201 files, employee records, memos, and other HR-related reports
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies and benefits

About you

• 1 to 2 years of solid, hands‑on experience in general HR functions (construction or manufacturing industry experience is a major plus)
• Well‑versed in all facets of HR, with strong foundational knowledge in recruitment, onboarding, timekeeping, payroll processing, and HR documentation
• Strong organizational and multi‑tasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace and HR tools
• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or any related field
