About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled, results-oriented, and safety-conscious Project Engineer to oversee site construction operations, project scheduling, technical quality, and resource deployment across our infrastructure and civil works projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget, supervising field teams and subcontractors, and maintaining full alignment with safety policies and ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage daily on-site construction activities for infrastructure projects (roads, flood control, earthworks, structural projects)
- Interpret structural, architectural, and civil plans, specifications, and shop drawings for accurate field execution
- Oversee manpower allocation, equipment utilization, and material usage to maximize productivity and eliminate wastage
- Monitor project progress against planned timelines (S-Curves, PERT/CPM, or Gantt Charts) and implement catch-up plans when delays occur
- Coordinate daily and weekly progress meetings with site foremen, subcontractors, and project managers
- Prepare daily site logbooks, accomplishment reports, look-ahead schedules, and billing accomplishments
- Enforce strict compliance with project specifications, material testing standards, and construction method statements
- Conduct regular site quality inspections and snag-listing to ensure work meets ISO 9001:2015 standards and project requirements
- Coordinate equipment requests and fuel logistics with the Logistics & Equipment Department
- Enforce Site Safety and Health Programs (DOLE-OSHC guidelines), ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC Board Passers)
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of solid site engineering experience in general building, roads, flood control, or heavy infrastructure projects
- Proficient in reading and interpreting structural plans, blueprints, and CAD drawings
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, heavy equipment management, cost estimation, and progress billing
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and project monitoring software (MS Project or Primavera is a plus)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System principles
- Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving skills, resilience under tight deadlines, and effective communication skills in Tagalog and English
