NAC Energy Inc. in the Philippines seeks an Electrical Design Supervisor (Project-Based) to review, validate, and supervise all design works for a Solar Power Plant from PV field to grid interconnection, ensuring compliance with PEC, IEC, IEEE and contractual requirements.

You will coordinate with EPC contractors, QA/QC teams, and regulatory bodies, supervise documentation readiness before energization, and oversee site implementation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with licensed status preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, testing/commissioning methods, and interpretation of drawings and specs.
  • Experience with solar power or renewable energy construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

About the role

The Electrical Design Supervisor (Project-Based) is responsible for reviewing, validating, and supervising all design works across Solar Power Plant from PV field to grid interconnection. This includes ensuring that all plans, drawings, designs and specifications are fully compliant with national and international standards, regulatory requirement, and all stakeholder conditions, as detailed in the employer's requirements. The role also includes assessing the site's design implementation and documentation readiness prior to energization and commissioning of Solar Power Plant.

Key responsibilities
  • Review and validate all design documentation submitted by the EPC contractor.
  • Ensure that all designs are accurate, technically sound, and aligned with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practice (e.g., PEC, IEC, IEEE or discipline-specific equivalents), employer's requirements and contractual obligations, and regulatory, statutory and relevant utility or authority guidelines.
  • Identify inconsistencies, design gaps, and risk, and coordinate timely resolution with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review technical drawings, reports, and all supporting documentation submitted by the EPC contractor or other parties.
  • Ensure effective document control and traceability for issued, revised, and as-build design records.
  • Monitor and track status of engineering deliverables and design approvals to maintain project schedules and compliance.
  • Coordinate with relevant engineering disciplines and QA/QC teams to manage multi-disciplinary design interfaces.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between the Owner, EPC Contractor, and consultants, regulatory bodies, and utility entities.
  • Assess Site implementation to verify alignment with approved designs and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and verification activities prior to commissioning, energization, or operational handover.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer (PRC) required
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering, design review, or construction
  • Experience in Solar Power Plant or renewable energy construction projects is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, testing/commissioning methods, and reading/interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
  • Intermediate knowledge of local and international codes (PEC, IEC, IEEE, etc.)
