Main aim of the job

• Oversee daily production processes, ensure efficiency, quality control and adherence to safety standards.

• Optimize resource utilization, minimize waste, and enhance overall productivity within the department.

Specific duties and responsibilities

• Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to maintain "SAFE" working environment.

• Maintain open communication between employees and superiors to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood and followed.

• Collaboration with other departments such as engineering, quality, and planning to optimize production processes and to resolve issues efficiently.

• Analyzing production data (Output, Scrap, Inefficiency, Rework) to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

• Training and supervising production staff to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.

• Monitor equipment and machines to ensure proper functioning and identifying any repair or maintenance needs to prevent major breakdowns.

• Should be knowledgeable in the problem-solving disciplines (A3, PDCA, 8D etc.) to implement proper corrective and preventive actions.

• Participating in continuous improvement "KAIZEN" initiatives and implementing best practice to enhance production operation.

• Overseeing daily operation on the production floor to ensure efficiency and productivity.

• Streamline processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Personal Profile

• Graduate of Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering course

• With at least 2-year experience in handling people or supervising people

• With at least 5-year experience in Manufacturing

• Demonstrate key characteristics: Integrity, Team Player, Initiative, Pro-active, Hardworking, Responsible, Disciplined, Self-directed, Task-oriented, and Flexible.

• Knowledgeable of basic SAP functions and codes.

• Minimum of Yellow belt certified.

• Strong skills presentation and analytical skills to determine the root cause and immediate and sustainable solution.

• Knowledgeable in process mapping, defect mapping, 5 why analysis, Fishbone diagram and other root cause analysis tools.

• Broad knowledge of production planning processes and workflows.

• Leadership skills - Excellent coaching and communication skills.
