Responsibilities

• Check material availability and coordinate with planning and warehouse for raw materials.
• Prepare and issue daily shift plans to lead men for timely production execution.
• Supervise lead men and operators; monitor production output per job order and schedule.
• Manage documentation for transfers of RM, WIP, and FG to other plants and supervise QA coordination.
• Review attendance records and evaluate staff for training, promotions, and incentives.
• Ensure compliance with company rules, ISO QMS, and 5S; oversee health, safety, and housekeeping in the department.

KEY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

• Coordinates closely on a daily basis or as frequently as possible with the Sr. Production Supervisor and planning section for the daily, weekly and monthly production target/machine plan/schedule for production department.
• Based on the production/machine schedule, make necessary arrangement for manpower planning. Prepares the manpower schedule and take the approval of the Sr. Production supervisor or production manager.
• Based on “job order sheet”, “production/machine schedule”, and “IPS” coordinates and checks with the planning and warehouse section the availability of all requested materials needed in producing the products as per job order (e.g., resin, additives, yarns, inks, solvents, etc.).
• Checks material requisition for the required raw materials needed in production processes based on production/machine schedule and send the approved requisition to warehouse section for raw material issuance to production department.
• Discusses and distributes the production plan/schedule daily and before the start of each shift schedule to all lead mans for proper and timely execution of the targeted production/machine schedule.
• Coordinates with lead man for the preparation of machines for set-up and production run.
• Supervises and assists all lead mans and all operators before and during production processes.
• Monitors product movement per processes.
• Checks and monitors production output per “job order”, “production/machine schedule”, (i.e., quantity, produced versus ordered/planned quantity).
• Ensures that all rolls, WIP, finished goods stocks that are “on hold”, “for monitoring”, “rejected”, “for slashing”, “for rewinding” were being taken cared of after receiving endorsement/reports from the lead man and QA department. All products with concerns should be disposed of not more two (2) days in the “quarantine area.”
• Checks all excess raw materials, WIP, and finished goods stocks for transfer to p1 plant, warehouse section with proper coordination with the planning section.
• Ensures that preparation of all documents for the transfer of RM, WIP and FG to other plant (P1 & P3) were being arranged by the lead man and the transfer is executed by PPIC RM/WIP controller.
• Collects, evaluates, and analyses daily production reports coming from lead man.
• Checks and monitors daily attendance record of all production department personnel upon receipt of attendance records from the lead man. Submits the summary report to production manager for evaluation.
• Assesses and evaluates all production personnel for skills & attitudes training program and recommendation for promotions and salary increases/incentives. Submits the summary of recommendations to the Sr. Production supervisor for proper courses of action.
• Controls and monitors the implementation of production department’s systems & procedures and to execute all the programs, policies and short-term/long-term strategic departmental plan/target/objectives of the production department under the leadership of the Sr. Production supervisor and production manager.
• Controls and contains the discipline of every personnel in production department through effective and strict implementation and enforcement of company rules and regulations, ISO QMS and 5s. Recommends suspensions or dismissals of erring employees with the approval of Sr. Production supervisor, production manager and HR section.
• Reads and checks all information in the logbooks (e.g., machine logbooks, supervisor’s logbook and roll tender logbook, etc.).
• Prepares summary reports to Sr. Production supervisor and discuss all concerns encountered (i.e., downtime, waste & output, quality issues, machine efficiency, accidents, emergency cases, un-towards incidents, personnel problems, etc.).
• Receives and reviews “notice of quality deviation” report (NQD) upon investigation of quality non-conformance together with the lead man and Sr. production supervisor.
• Prepares and submits reports such as daily/weekly/monthly attendance reports, machine efficiency, daily/weekly/monthly production output & waste reports, and other related reports to the Sr. production supervisor.
• Over-all in-charge of production department’s occupational health and safety, housekeeping and cleanliness with close coordination with the Sr. Production supervisor and maintenance department. Make weekly and monthly 5s audits and submit to production manager the evaluation and recommendations for proper courses of actions.
• Assumes the jobs of the production manager, front/end line supervisor in their absence.
• Adheres to the company rules & regulations and other policies & objectives related to quality, health & safety, ISO, QMS & 5s.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• BS Engineering graduate or other related courses.
