Job summary

Gourmet Food Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a Plant Operations Manager to lead the production floor, oversee inventories, and drive continuous improvements in quality and yield while safeguarding safety and GMP standards.

The role requires strong leadership, cost control, and the ability to coordinate with multiple units and vendors to maintain schedule adherence and optimize output. On-site position based in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• Experience leading plant teams and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, safety, and GMP/HACCP practices.
• Ability to plan, monitor, and optimize production costs and schedules.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains and controls plant finished goods, raw materials, and inventories.
2. Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance.
3. Provides leadership and direction to all employees to continuously improve quality, efficiency and yield with increase output while reducing waste.
4. Drives overall plant performance and compliance with quality standards.
5. Promotes continual output improvements and actively contribute to mission and vision of the company.
6. Determines if new manufacturing machines and methods are needed.
7. Coordinates production with other Units/Department as well as with vendors and shippers.
8. Ensures that the production stays on schedule and within budget.
9. Trains, evaluates and monitors production personnel to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
10. Analyzes production data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement, identify and utilize methods of making manufacturing process more efficient and effective.
11. Prepare production reports and present to top management.
12. Directs corrections of any production problems that may arise and works with QA in development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
13. Enforces disciplinary actions as may be necessary to Production Staff in accordance with existing company policies and guidelines.
14. Ensures compliance to established HACCP / Food Safety Program.
15. Performs other duties/tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.
