Job summary

GICA Grinding Wheel Corporation is seeking a Senior Production/Operations Leader to guide production forecasting, planning and staff management. You will establish targets, coordinate with maintenance, sales and HR, and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and quality.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth production operations and adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead production forecasting and planning to ensure timely supply of raw materials, tools and equipment.
• Establish goals to attain production target outputs and communicate with team to resolve issues.
• Prepare staff schedules and delegate work assignments.
• Create and establish production processes and workflows; develop production policies; implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Develop quality assurance and control measures; monitor finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Conduct counselling and coaching to develop staff performance; evaluate staff and recommend training or movement; monitor behavior and discipline; enforce workplace safety policies.
• Coordinate with maintenance for machine repairs, with Sales on job orders and quality concerns, and with HR on staff performance and discipline.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation; report status to Assistant General Manager on production status and concerns.

Job description

1. Leadership and Team Management:

• Production forecasting and planning which includes supply of raw materials, tools and equipments to be used
• Establish goal to attain production target output
• Communicates with the team to resolve production issues and technical concerns
• Prepares schedule of staffs and work delegation.

2. Develop Standard Operating Procedures and System:

• Create and establish production processes and workflows
• Develop Production Policies as necessary
• Implement process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime

3. Ensures Product Quality:

• Develop quality assurance and control measures
• Monitors and ensuring finished products are within quality standards

4. Administrative Task:

• Conducts counselling and coaching to develop staff work performance
• Evaluates staff and recommend training or employee movement.
• Monitor’s employee behavior and work attitude and recommend disciplinary actions if needed
• Implements company rules and policies including workplace safety standard regulations

5. Department Coordination:

• Coordinates with maintenance staff for machines and equipments repair
• Coordinates with Sales on Job orders, specifications and quality concerns
• Coordinates with HR regarding employees work performance and discipline

6. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepares and maintain production reports and documentation
• Reports directly to the Assistant General Manager on Production status and concerns
