Job summary

PAPERLESS TRAIL INC. is seeking a Production/Operations leader to plan and oversee manufacturing activities. The role ensures products are produced on time, with quality standards met, while maintaining a safe work environment.

The ideal candidate will supervise line staff, implement QA programs, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with QC and Maintenance teams to optimize production efficiency.

• Monitor production to identify deviations and drive process improvements.
• Enforce safety procedures; conduct safety training for staff.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment for optimal operation.
• Diagnose problems and implement corrective actions; liaise with QC/Maintenance.
• Track, analyze, and report product data and metrics.
• Monitor productivity and other key production indicators.
• Coordinate with supply chain to manage inventory of production materials.
• Assist in budgeting for production and work to reduce wastage.

Job description

Management/Functional Responsibility:

• Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the production activities to meet targets.

• Supervise the production process, ensuring that products are produced on time and are of good quality.

• Supervise, train, and manage production line employees. This may include hiring and training new employees, evaluation performance, and potentially disciplining staff.

• Implement and enforce quality control programs and initiatives to ensure compliane with quality standards and regulations.

• Monitor the production process to identify deviations from the norm and look for areas to improve in the production process.

• Ensure all safety procedures are followed to create a safe working environment for employees. This includes conducting safety inspections and training staff on safety protocols.

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure it's always in optimal working condition.

• Diagnose production problems, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions. This may invovle liasing with other departments such as Quality Control or Maintenance.

• Track, analyze, and report product data.

• Monitor and report on productivity, throughoutn and other key production metrics.

• Coordinate with the supply chain or logistics department to manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary production materials.

• Assist in developing budgets for the production department and work to reduce costs and wastage.
