Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Team Leader in the Production Department is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires coordinating with the production team, monitoring output and downtime, and maintaining accurate reports. The Team Leader ensures smooth operations by managing priorities, allocating resources, and addressing any production issues that arise.

Scope and Responsibilities:
Production Operations Management
  • Lead daily production activities to ensure that all production goals are met, in alignment with the production plan. This includes managing timelines, monitoring outputs, and addressing any disruptions that may impact productivity.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of production lines to ensure efficient operations and adherence to quality standards. Identify potential issues in real time and take proactive steps to resolve them to maintain optimal line performance.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to identify and address defect trends. Develop and implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives aimed at reducing product defects and ensuring consistent product quality.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing production progress, issues encountered, defect rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Submit reports to the Production Supervisor and Management for review and action.
  • Identify and document issues affecting production, including equipment malfunctions, manpower shortages, and quality defects. Escalate unresolved issues to higher management for further action when necessary.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate production line performance against daily, weekly, and monthly goals. Provide feedback to team members on their progress and guide them in meeting production objectives.
  • Analyze defect trends, conduct root cause analyses, and work with the quality team to implement corrective actions aimed at reducing recurring quality issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements based on production data, quality findings, and team feedback. Document actions taken and track their effectiveness over time, ensuring continuous improvement in production efficiency and quality.
  • Identify and document best practices in production processes and ensure their consistent application across shifts. Encourage team members to follow standardized procedures to improve workflow efficiency and minimize errors.
Manpower and Material Management
  • Assess daily manpower requirements based on production goals, employee attendance, and production line needs. Adjust allocation to meet shifting production demands while maximizing team efficiency.
  • Track attendance and punctuality of team members, coordinate replacements for absences, and ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed.
  • Conduct training and orientation sessions for new operators and line leaders to ensure they are well-informed on their roles, safety protocols, and production expectations. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Ensure the timely availability of raw materials by coordinating with inventory and procurement teams. Monitor material usage rates and proactively reorder supplies to prevent production interruptions.
  • Perform regular inventory checks on raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP) items, and finished goods to maintain optimal stock levels. Ensure that all inventory is accounted for and stored according to company standards.
  • Verify the quality of raw materials and WIP inventory upon arrival and throughout the production process to identify and address any potential material-related defects.
Other Related Tasks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Production team and ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist with special projects or initiatives related to Production team as needed.
Qualifications:
  • At least High school or Senior High School graduate, College undergrad or with Vocational Course
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a team leader role or equivalent within a manufacturing or production environment, with a focus on overseeing daily operations and coordinating team activities.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing production schedules, ensuring that resources and manpower are allocated to meet production goals efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience with quality control processes, identifying defects, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining high standards of product quality.
  • Experienced in managing inventory levels, coordinating with supply chain teams, and ensuring the availability of raw materials and work-in-progress (WIP) items for continuous production flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and develop solutions to maintain productivity and resolve production delays.
  • Experience in tracking production data, analyzing performance metrics, and preparing reports on production efficiency, defect rates, and other KPIs.
