The Product Management Officer drives the development, delivery, and growth of learning solutions for an assigned education market segment. Working with the Business Unit Head and teams across the organization, you will identify product opportunities, manage portfolio plans, and coordinate projects from initial planning through launch and performance review.
This role brings together business strategy, market research, and project management, with opportunities to influence product decisions and contribute to revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
Identify market opportunities. Analyze research, customer needs, sales indicators, and competitor offerings to recommend new products and improvements aligned with business priorities.
Drive product and portfolio growth. Develop and implement strategies to strengthen market position, establish revenue and distribution targets, and improve operating profitability and efficiency.
Develop business cases and product proposals. Facilitate and submit business cases for portfolio offerings, considering current and future market needs, costs, and timelines. Oversee their translation into detailed product proposals and implementation.
Coordinate product development and delivery. Define project requirements, develop detailed timelines for early project stages, and oversee subsequent stages to ensure products reach the market on time.
Manage project plans and priorities. Keep new and recurring product cycles aligned with approved processes, timelines, budgets, resources, risk plans, and communication requirements. Assess delays and implement actions to reduce their business impact.
Keep teams aligned. Facilitate meetings on product knowledge, project planning, resource constraints, and opportunities to accelerate delivery. Maintain clear communication and elevate issues appropriately.
Monitor product performance. Analyze results, recommend improvements to the Business Unit Head, and work with market teams to adjust strategies as customer needs and business conditions change.
Support product life cycle and inventory planning. Collaborate with market and supply chain teams to implement stock depletion strategies, considering the best use of existing products.
Evaluate results after launch. Review financial performance, marketing and sales programs, and product development and life cycle outcomes. Prepare assessments with recommendations for improvement.
Maintain reporting and project standards. Provide regular and real-time project updates to the Business Unit Head and stakeholders. Develop and implement project management procedures, frameworks, best practices, and agreed service-level requirements.
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
At least eight years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of user experience design, design thinking, and business case development.
Understanding of the Philippine education system, including basic education, higher education, or legal education, depending on the assigned market segment.
Ability to interpret consumer needs, market research, sales indicators, and competitive data to guide product and business decisions.
Knowledge of research and data analytics, project management, and product portfolio management.
Experience in business development and project management.
Familiarity with learning solutions is an advantage.
