Spinneys Philippines is seeking a Produce Butcher / Vegetable Butcher to join our supermarket team. The role involves preparing, cutting, and presenting fresh fruits and vegetables while upholding high standards of quality, freshness, hygiene, and food safety.

The successful candidate will work with the fresh produce team, follow FIFO procedures, and maintain proper labeling, storage, and rotation of produce. Availability for shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Spinneys Philippines is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Produce Butcher / Vegetable Butcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cutting, and presenting fresh fruits and vegetables while maintaining the highest standards of quality, freshness, hygiene, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, trim, slice, dice, and cut fruits and vegetables according to company standards and product specifications.
• Prepare fresh produce for retail display, packaging, and ready-to-eat products as required.
• Maintain the quality, freshness, and proper presentation of fruits and vegetables.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and rotation of fresh produce using FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Monitor product quality and minimize food waste through proper handling and portioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, cutting tools, equipment, and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory monitoring and replenishment of fresh produce when needed.
• Work collaboratively with the fresh produce team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fruit and vegetable preparation, fresh produce handling, or a similar role is an advantage.
• Knowledge of proper cutting techniques, knife handling, and food safety practices.
• Ability to identify fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables.
• Physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced supermarket environment.
• Willingness to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.
