Job summary

Spinneys Philippines is seeking a skilled and experienced butcher to join our Store Operations team in Metro Manila. You will be responsible for preparing, cutting, trimming, portioning, and presenting meat products while upholding the highest standards of quality, freshness, and sanitation.

You will handle deboning, trimming, and portioning, ensure proper storage and rotation, and assist customers with product information.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a butcher in a supermarket or food retail environment.
• Hands-on experience in meat cutting, trimming, deboning and portioning.
• Knowledge of proper meat handling and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform cutting, trimming, deboning, portioning, and preparation of meat products.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and rotation of meat products.
• Maintain product quality, freshness, and proper presentation.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Safely use and maintain knives, cutting tools, and butcher equipment.
• Minimize product waste through proper cutting and portion control.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Monitor meat products and report any quality or freshness concerns.
• Assist customers with basic product information when required.
• Support inventory checks and other store operations related to the butcher section.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Operations team.
