About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join Prescon Philippines, Inc. in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be instrumental in optimising our supply chain and procurement processes, ensuring that we source materials and services efficiently whilst maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards. This role is essential to supporting our operational objectives and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Source and identify qualified suppliers and vendors for raw materials, equipment and services required by the organization.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains and negotiate favorable terms.
• Prepare, issue and analyze purchase orders, requests for quotations (RFQs) and tender documents.
• Conduct price comparisons and cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing whilst maintaining quality standards.

• Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project schedules.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation and database systems for audit and compliance purposes.
• Evaluate supplier performance against agreed metrics and standards, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including operations, finance and project teams to understand procurement requirements.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control practices
• Proficiency in procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and prepare detailed reports
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Understanding of manufacturing, transport or logistics operations is highly desirable
• Knowledge of import/export procedures and compliance requirements is a plus
