Responsibilities

  • Responsible for MSPS sourcing activities of non-productive / indirect material, office supplies, construction, services, and other requirements of all Divisions (e.g. supplies, service contracts, project-based contracts, etc.)
  • Initiate Cost Reduction activities through resourcing, commercial negotiation, etc., thereby reducing the vehicle cost to contribute to the improvement of company profitability and cost competitiveness in the market.
  • Supplier & service provider selection & accreditation.
  • Initial assessment of suppliers' capability in compliance with S-QCDEM requirements before accreditation of MMPC.
  • Review suppliers' performance and take necessary corrective action on suppliers that need improvement on delivery and quality aspects.
  • Responsible for the sourcing of capable and reliable suppliers for materials intended for non-productive and indirect parts (NPIP)
  • Responsible for the sourcing of capable and reliable suppliers for machine and equipment, office supplies.
  • Responsible for the sourcing of capable and reliable suppliers for services and contracts (including construction), etc.
  • Responsible for the provision of procurement, sub-contracting and services for the contract; responsible for the quality, auditability and governance of the overall procurement and sub-contracting process.
  • Responsible for supplier & service provider selection & accreditation in compliance to MMPC's requirements.
  • Cost reduction activities with suppliers to reduce vehicle cost.
  • Review and approval of PO, BPO, and Quotation Analysis.
  • Develop/improve and implement purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
  • Interview and hire staff and oversee staff training
  • Negotiate contracts and formulate policies with suppliers.
  • Resolve supplier or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers
