Job Summary:
The Procurement Inbound Logistics Supervisor under Corporate Procurement is responsible for monitoring the movement of imported materials and expediting their clearance to secure timely delivery and order fulfillment. The role works closely with the Category Manager, Procurement Supervisors, PPIC, Warehouse, customs brokers, and shipping lines, and keeps cross-functional teams updated on inbound shipment status. It requires excellent time and stress management and strong communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Plan and discuss action plans with buyers regarding imported materials.
Prepare and maintain templates for tracking and monitoring imported materials handled by Corporate Procurement.
Coordinate and supervise customs clearance activities with brokers.
Evaluate and propose the accreditation of brokers and third-party service providers for the movement of inbound materials.
Benchmark with the industry for the best rates and best practices in clearing of goods.
Supervise the monitoring of delivery schedules for locally purchased items.
Recommend process improvements for tracking the logistics of all inbound materials handled by Corporate Procurement.
Keep Procurement, PPIC, and Warehouse updated on inbound shipment status and potential delays.
Qualifications:
College graduate with a degree in Management, Customs Administration, or any related field.
At least 3 years of experience in Import/Export or Supply Chain and Logistics.
Working knowledge of local and international shipping and trade compliance requirements.
Experience coordinating with customs brokers, forwarders, and shipping lines.
