Job summary

WESTCON GROUP PHILIPPINES is seeking a Presales Specialist to rapidly quote Cisco products and licenses, handling high volumes with four-hour SLAs, and supporting customers and internal teams with product knowledge.

The role requires strong IT networking understanding, advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables), and experience with the Cisco CCW Tool, ensuring price accuracy and proactive learning. Cisco experience is preferred and English communication is essential.

• Requires 2 years of quoting experience or Cisco product experience.

A. Job Summary

The Presales Specialist is responsible for:

• Rapid and accurate quoting of Cisco products and licensing within 4 hour SLAs.
• High volume request handling via help desk ticketing system.
• Support customers and internal departments with regards to Cisco products and processes.

B. Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional customer service through;
• Fast quote turn-around of <4 hours.
• Accurate pricing with no room for error.
• Managing high ticket volumes and ad hoc escalations.
• Detailed and clear responses, written in professional business English.
• First point of contact via phone and email for customer pricing and product enquiries.
• Building Bill of Materials in Cisco CCW Tool based on research and product knowledge.
• Process licensing renewals and complex subscription requests.
• Stay current through continued learning.
• Other duties as requested.

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of IT networking and ability to describe core components (router, switch, VoIP etc).
• High drive for continual learning. Quarterly Cisco “Black Belt” certifications required.
• Solid maths skills - excel formulae, commercial margins and discounts, foreign exchange rate conversion etc.
• Hard working, self-motivated and ability to work effectively unsupervised as required.
• Strong soft skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and staff.
• Professional business communication skills.
• Very strong attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency.
• IT channel experience.
• Experience managing and prioritising large request volumes with escalations.
