Job summary

SYNETCOM Philippines, Inc. seeks a Solutions Engineer to design, deploy, and support Cisco-based infrastructure solutions.

You will engage in pre-sales and post-sales activities, assist sales with technical scoping, and drive POCs to ensure successful deployments and knowledge transfer. The role requires strong routing/switching knowledge, network operations discipline, and troubleshooting in carrier-grade or high-availability environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronics/Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years experience in network infrastructure in Telco/ISP/Data Center/POP.
• CCNA or higher certification required.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, subnetting, and Layer 2/3 routing.
• Experience troubleshooting network incidents in production.
• Ability to read network diagrams and technical docs.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical consultancy during pre-sales activities.
• Assess customer requirements, business needs, existing environments, and technical challenges to design and recommend appropriate network and IT infrastructure solutions.
• Design network infrastructure and solution architectures for customers, including preparation of BOMs and BOQs.
• Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations, demonstrations, bidding documents, RFP/RFI responses, and other solution documentation.
• Conduct Proof of Concept (POC), pre-sales, implementation, and post-implementation technical presentations and meetings.
• Support the solution implementation, deployment, integration, configuration, migration, testing, and optimization activities according to project schedules.
• Deliver professional services, technical training, and knowledge transfer to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Provide Level 2 technical support, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and post-deployment support.
• Monitor and optimize deployed solutions, including routing, QoS, application-aware traffic steering, performance, security, scalability, and overall system reliability.
• Prepare and submit project status reports, accomplishment reports, operational updates, and other required documentation in a timely manner

About the role

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for providing end-to-end technical expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting Synetcom Philippines' Cisco-based infrastructure solutions and its complementing technologies. The role supports both pre-sales and post-sales engagements by assisting the sales team in designing tailored solutions, conducting proof-of-concepts (POCs), ensuring successful solution deployment and support services, and delivering knowledge transfer. The Solutions Engineer should have a strong knowledge of routing and switching, network operations, and troubleshooting in carrier-grade or high-availability environments.

About you

• CCNA certification or higher is required or equivalent industry certifications


• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches


• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, subnetting, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, and routing


• Experience troubleshooting network incidents in a production environment


• Ability to interpret network diagrams and technical documentation


• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
