Job summary

Veritas Pay Philippines Inc is seeking a Device Preparation Specialist to manage end-to-end preparation of merchant POS terminals and related materials. You will act as the primary contact for technical hardware and software support, coordinating with inventory for device shipments and providing on-site solutions as required.

Responsibilities include device configuration testing, online orientation for merchants, and producing routine reports.

Qualifications

• College graduate preferably of Engineering or Technical course.
• 2-3 years relevant experience handling different POS devices.
• Proficient in English both written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Configure devices, test credentials, and verify payment channels for merchant deployment.
• Identify and resolve hardware/software issues; document and endorse on-site repair as needed.
• Conduct online device orientation for new and existing merchants.
• Provide high-level technical support to field engineers for on-site issues.
• Handle device shipment preparations and monitoring.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on device config, orientation, diagnosis resolutions, and shipments.
• Contribute to creating policies and procedures for this role.
• Support team during device receiving and inspections and other large-scale projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Veritas Pay Philippines Inc is looking for Device Preparation Specialist. This role is responsible for end-to-end preparation of merchant’s POS terminal and consumable materials, serves as key person for technical hardware and software support, and works closely with inventory management specialist for the shipment of devices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for device configuration which includes testing of credentials and all payment channels approved to the merchant, ensuring working payment acceptance prior deployment
• Identifies and solves potential and actual hardware and software issues which includes diagnosis, documentation, resolution and endorsement for on-site visit and repair.
• Conducts online device orientation for new and existing merchants
• Provides high-level technical support to field engineers encountering on-site issues
• Handles device shipment preparations and monitoring
• Prepares complete weekly and monthly reports including device configuration, online orientation, diagnosis resolution and endorsement, and device shipments
• Contributes to creating policies and procedures related to this role
• Provides support to the team during device receiving and inspection activities, and other big scale projects
• Others may be assigned

JOB QUALIFICATION

• College graduate preferably of Engineering or Technical course
• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in handling different POS devices
• Proficient in English both written and verbal communication

SKILLS

• Working knowledge of payment solutions offered locally in the Philippines
• Knowledge and experience with local POS terminal handling (preferred)
• Technical hardware and software troubleshooting skills
• Proactive critical and strategic thinking
• Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and strong attention to details
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with high quality output
• Willing to work on weekend, holidays, and shifting schedules as needed
