Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • DENR-EMB PCO accreditation is required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in environmental compliance or as a Pollution Control Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory compliance & reporting: Ensure DENR environmental regulations are followed and submit required reports (SMRs, CMRs, etc.).
  • Permit management: Acquire and manage environmental permits and licenses with regulators.

About the Role


We are looking for a dedicated Pollution Control Officer (PCO) to lead our environmental compliance initiatives, manage regulatory requirements, and drive sustainability across our operations. In this role, you will ensure our workplace meets all DENR-EMB standards while spearheading programs that promote waste reduction, environmental awareness, and a safer, cleaner workplace.


Key Responsibilities



  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with DENR environmental regulations. Prepare and submit required regulatory reports, including Self-Monitoring Reports (SMRs), Compliance Monitoring Reports (CMRs), and other necessary filings.


  • Permit Management: Process, secure, and manage all environmental permits and licenses with relevant regulatory agencies.


  • Pollution Control & Monitoring: Conduct daily physical monitoring of plant operations and waste management processes to ensure environmental safety standards are met.


  • Environmental Initiatives: Spearhead programs and projects aimed at waste reduction, resource efficiency, and promoting environmental awareness among employees.


  • Data Analysis & Communication: Utilize Excel and data analytics to track environmental metrics, generate insightful reports, and create engageable visual/graphic materials (pubmats) for environmental campaigns.



Requirements & Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.


  • Certification: Must be a DENR-EMB Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO).


  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience as a Pollution Control Officer or in an environmental compliance role.


  • Reporting Expertise: Proficient in preparing and submitting DENR regulatory reports (SMR, CMR, etc.).


  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel (functions and commands).


  • Communication: High proficiency in English (both spoken and written).


  • Location & Mobility: Preferably residing within Cavite; physically fit for active daily monitoring and processing of permits, with high mobility.


  • Flexibility: Willing to undergo training in another location if required.
