Job summary

CHINT Smartpower Services in the Philippines seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead on-site O&M and construction management for PV and wind projects, ensuring safe, stable operation. You will develop and execute annual and monthly PMS for electrical equipment and ensure compliance with local regulations, grid interconnection and safety standards.

The role requires reading electrical drawings, troubleshooting PV modules, inverters, transformers and switchgear, plus coordinating with grid companies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and REE license.
• Minimum 3 years in power with 2+ years on-site O&M or construction mgmt.
• At least 1 year in team leadership.
• Familiar with Philippine power regulations, grid interconnection, safety standards.
• Able to read electrical diagrams and analyze generation indicators.

Job description

• Conduct on-site electrical operation, maintenance and construction management for photovoltaic and wind power projects to ensure stable and safe plant operation.
• Manage project teams and independently develop and execute annual and monthly Preventive Maintenance Schedules (PMS) for electrical equipment.
• Ensure full compliance with Philippine power regulations, grid interconnection requirements and local electrical safety standards in all site activities.
• Perform troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance for PV modules, inverters, transformers, high and low-voltage switchgear; proficient in reading primary and secondary electrical drawings.
• Support daily project operation, safety management and acceptance work with valid local driving license for on-site field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and related fields; must hold a valid Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) license.
• At least 3 years of experience in the power industry, with 2+ years of on-site O&M or construction management experience in PV or wind power projects.
• 1+ year of team management experience, with the ability to independently formulate annual and monthly Preventive Maintenance Schedules (PMS).
• Familiar with local Philippine power regulations, grid interconnection requirements, and electrical safety standards.
• Proficient in troubleshooting core equipment such as PV modules, inverters,transformers, and high/low-voltage switchgear; capable of reading primary electrical diagrams and understanding basic secondary diagrams.
• Able to independently calculate and analyze generation performance indicators.
• Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), with the ability to read technical drawings and operation manuals without barriers, and communicate effectively with grid companies, clients, equipment manufacturers, and other relevant parties.
• Holds a valid Philippine driver's license.
