Job summary

Sungrow Smart Philippines in Lipa Batangas is urgently seeking a Maintenance Electrical Engineer Technician to support operation and maintenance of our solar power plants. The role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues, and repairs equipment to ensure reliable operations.

Candidates should have knowledge of electrical wiring and on-site preventive maintenance. A bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, plus HV/LV

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in power, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or related disciplines. Preferably Licensed Registered Electrical Engineer.
• At least 2 years of experience in repair or maintenance of electrical equipment; solar/wind/substation experience preferred.
• Certificates for high voltage, low voltage, working at heights, welding, and a driver’s license preferred.
• Strong hands‑on skills and fault analysis; familiar with electrical primary and secondary systems.
• Proficient in Office software and able to prepare maintenance reports and inventories.
• Basic English communication; able to understand English technical docs and operation manuals.
• Good physical health; able to work outdoors and on‑site for overseas projects.

Responsibilities

• Routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar power plant equipment to ensure safe, stable operation.
• Adhere to maintenance protocols and complete planned preventive, routine, and temporary maintenance as scheduled.
• Inspect/maintain/repair equipment in the photovoltaic area, including inverters, busbars, transformer boxes, HV/LV switchgear, and other devices.
• Regularly clean solar panels to improve power generation efficiency.
• Inspect HV/LV lines and equipment to identify and fix defects and hazards.
• Participate in major repairs, upgrades, and emergency repairs; maintain maintenance records and inventories.
• Use maintenance tools and testing instruments properly; store and maintain them.
• Submit and manage spare parts, maintenance materials, and related items.
• Implement safety procedures; maintain a clean, safe worksite and environment.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by superiors.

Sungrow Smart Philippines is urgently seeking a Maintenance Electrical Engineer Technician to support the operation and maintenance of our solar power plant locations. The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and repair solar plant equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operations. Candidates do not need to be engineers but should have knowledge of electrical wiring and on-site preventive maintenance work.

Job Description

• Responsible for the routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar power plant equipment to ensure safe and stable operation of the equipment.
• Strictly adhere to the maintenance protocols for photovoltaic power plants, and complete planned preventive maintenance, routine maintenance, and temporary maintenance work as scheduled.
• Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of equipment in the photovoltaic area, including inverters, busbars, transformer boxes, high- and low-voltage switchgear, and other electrical devices.
• Regularly clean and dust the solar panels to keep the components clean and improve power generation efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of high- and low-voltage lines and equipment to promptly identify and eliminate equipment defects and safety hazards, thereby ensuring the safety of the lines and equipment.
• Participate in major repairs, technological upgrades, and emergency repairs of power plant equipment, maintain records of maintenance activities, prepare test reports, and organize and archive equipment inventories.
• Properly and proficiently use various maintenance tools and testing instruments, and meticulously store them and perform regular maintenance on them.
• Responsible for the submission, acceptance, and inventory management of spare parts, maintenance materials, and other related items.
• Implement safety operation procedures, ensure proper safety protection and civilized production in the work site, and maintain a clean and tidy environment after completing work and disposing of materials.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by superiors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in fields such as power, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or related disciplines. Preferably Licensed Registered Electrical Engineer.
• At least 2 years of experience in the repair or maintenance of electrical equipment. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in the maintenance of solar power plants, wind farms, or substations.
• Priority will be given to individuals who possess a certificate for working with high-voltage electrical systems, a certificate for working with low-voltage systems, a certificate for working at heights, a welding certificate, and a driver’s license.
• Possesses strong hands‑on skills and ability to analyze and resolve faults and is familiar with the principles of electrical primary and secondary systems.
• Proficient in using Office software and capable of independently completing maintenance reports and equipment inventories.
• Possess basic English communication skills and be able to understand English technical documentation and operation manuals for equipment.
• Good physical health and ability to adapt to outdoor and high-altitude work environments. Willingness to accept company assignments and to work on‑site for overseas projects.
