Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Set project milestones and timelines, ensuring alignment of all construction activities.
- Update project schedules regularly, reflecting progress, delays, and any changes in project scope or requirements.
- Work closely with project managers and teams to ensure effective planning and execution of project phases.
Contract Monitoring & Compliance
- Review and analyze construction contracts to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
- Monitor the progress of work to ensure that contractual requirements are being met, including timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with legal, procurement, and project management teams to resolve any issues related to contract performance.
- Ensure all parties (clients, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.) comply with the terms specified in the contract and mitigate any risk of non‑compliance.
- Track and document contract‑related changes, amendments, and claims, and ensure proper reporting to stakeholders.
Resource Management
- Oversee the allocation of resources (labor, materials, equipment) to ensure that the project progresses according to schedule and budget.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Track and manage resource utilization to prevent over‑ or under‑allocation.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
- Identify and assess potential risks and disruptions to project schedules and contracts.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address risks related to delays, budget overruns, and contract breaches.
- Resolve conflicts, issues, or delays that arise, ensuring that the project remains on track and compliant with contract terms.
Reporting & Documentation
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management on the status of the project schedule, contracts, and resource allocation.
- Prepare detailed reports on contract performance, including compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all contract changes, project milestones, and other critical documentation.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the key point of contact for any issues related to project planning, scheduling, and contracts.
- Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders regarding contract obligations and project progress.
- Ensure transparency in contract management and inform all parties of any potential issues or deviations from the agreed terms.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements related to project planning, scheduling, and contract management.
- Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance planning efficiency, accuracy, and contract monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Certification in Project Management or Contract Management is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or contract management in the construction industry.
- Proven experience using project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Experience in managing construction contracts, including monitoring compliance and addressing contract‑related issues.
- Experience managing large‑scale construction projects is preferred.
