Job summary

New City Builders, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from planning through execution. You will act as the primary contact between the client, construction management team, and internal stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and a licensed engineer with 5–10 years in construction, including on-site supervision and high-rise experience. On-site work with a collaborative team is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Civil Engineer with active credentials required.
• 5–10 years of construction experience relevant to PM roles.
• Minimum 5 years of Project Manager experience preferred.
• Experience in pre-construction and on-site supervision.
• Experience managing teams and high-rise projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules, resource allocations and work plans with engineering and procurement teams.
• Coordinate with Area Manager and Construction Manager to implement project plans and milestones.
• Serve as primary contact for client representatives and stakeholders; maintain open communications.
• Lead regular client meetings to report progress and address concerns.
• Oversee mobilization and optimal use of labor, equipment and materials per budget.
• Monitor expenses and cost variances to ensure alignment with approved budget.
• Ensure construction activities meet quality standards and project specs.
• Enforce on-site safety standards with Safety Manager.
• Prepare and submit billing documents and change orders to construction management.
• Lead and mentor project team to foster accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules, resource allocations, and work plans in coordination with the engineering and procurement teams
• Coordinate closely with the Area Manager and Construction Manager to implement the project plan and achieve client milestones
• Act as the primary contact for the client's representatives, construction management team, and other stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and resolving issues promptly
• Participate in regular client and stakeholder meetings to report progress and address project concerns
• Oversee the mobilization and optimal use of labor, equipment, and materials in alignment with the project budget
• Monitor project expenses and track cost variances to ensure alignment with the approved budget
• Ensure all construction activities adhere to established quality standards and project specifications
• Enforce safety standards on-site and work with the Safety Manager to maintain a safe working environment
• Oversee the preparation and submission of billing documents and change order claims to the construction management team
• Lead and mentor the project team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Civil Engineer
• At least 5-10 years of prior experience in the construction industry
• 5 years Project Manager experience preferred
• Experience in handling a project from pre-construction
