Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6)
- Set project milestones and timelines, ensuring alignment of all construction activities.
- Update project schedules regularly, reflecting progress, delays, and any changes in project scope or requirements.
- Work closely with project managers and teams to ensure effective planning and execution of project phases.
Contract Monitoring & Compliance:
- Review and analyze construction contracts to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
- Monitor the progress of work to ensure that contractual requirements are being met, including timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with legal, procurement, and project management teams to resolve any issues related to contract performance.
Resource Management:
- Oversee the allocation of resources (labor, materials, equipment) to ensure that the project progresses according to schedule and budget.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Track and manage resource utilization to prevent over- or under-allocation.
- Ensure all parties (clients, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.) comply with the terms specified in the contract and mitigate any risk of non-compliance.
- Track and document contract-related changes, amendments, and claims, and ensure proper reporting to stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Certification in Project Management or Contract Management is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or contract management in the construction industry.
- Proven experience using project management software such as Primavera P6.
- Experience in managing construction contracts, including monitoring compliance and addressing contract-related issues.
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, contract law, and scheduling techniques.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret contract terms and ensure their enforcement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and quality control.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, budgets, and resource management.
