Qualifications

Responsibilities

Performance Test QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Performance Test QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through effective testing, automation, and defect management. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Development, DevOps, and Product teams to validate system functionality, support release readiness, and help drive continuous quality improvements across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Test Design & Execution

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.

• Identify test scenarios, expected outcomes, and test data requirements.

• Validate application functionality against defined business and technical requirements.

Defect & Release Management

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.

• Collaborate with development teams to investigate issues, validate fixes, and perform regression testing.

• Participate in release planning, deployment readiness reviews, and quality assessments.

• Provide quality gate recommendations and release sign-offs based on testing outcomes and risk evaluations.

Collaboration & Quality Culture

• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Advocate for quality best practices and contribute to a quality-first culture across teams.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance testing effectiveness and delivery quality.

Test Automation

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for frontend and backend applications.

• Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

• Improve test coverage through automation and maintain script reliability.

• Generate test execution reports, quality metrics, and release recommendations based on test results.

Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and team meetings.

• Stay updated on emerging testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.

• Dedicate time to continuous learning and professional development.

• Share QA techniques, testing methodologies, and automation knowledge with team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test engineering.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management processes.

• Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API testing and automated testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools.

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is an advantage.
