Job summary

Hexaware Technologies Phil. Branch is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee QA tasks across development sprints and to collaborate with the Project Manager and Stakeholders.

You will write manual and automated test scripts, perform static and functional testing, report QA bugs, verify fixes, and track defect lifecycles while aiming to optimize the testing process. A Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science is preferred; requires 3+ years in QA testing with at least 1 year in test

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA testing experience
• At least 1 year of experience with test automation
• Proficiency in SQL, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5/CSS and web technologies
• Experience in Agile software development and quality processes

Responsibilities

Job description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is in charge of performing and overseeing the QA-related tasks as outlined in this process document.

• Perform business analysis and participate in the requirements gathering with the Project Manager and Stakeholders

  • Perform static testing of requirements and check them for completeness and consistency

  • Provide timeline / Story Point estimates of the QA Testing effort to the Project Manager

• Create QA test plans

• Write manual test cases and automated test scripts

• Conduct manual and automated functional black box testing of features during each development sprint

  • Report on discovered QA Bugs and file tickets in Buganizer

• Verify and discuss fixes to QA Bugs with the development team

• Track the lifecycle of errors and re-test fixed defects / perform regression testing

• Analyze / Optimize the test process and automation flow

• Maintain test documentation and report on the QA Testing efforts of assigned projects to the Process and Quality Manager

• Evaluate application readiness based on established and collected QA pass / fail metrics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science or any related course is a plus
