Job summary

Ascendion in Metro Manila seeks a seasoned Performance Test Engineer to design and implement comprehensive test plans and cases aligned with business requirements and system architecture.

You will execute load, stress, endurance, and spike tests using industry tools, analyze results, and collaborate with development teams to drive actionable performance improvements across production and staging environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of proven performance testing or QA experience.
• Experience with JMeter/LoadRunner/Gatling or similar tools.
• Knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop performance test plans and cases aligned with requirements.
• Execute load, stress, endurance, and spike tests using industry tools.
• Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and report actionable improvements.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to set baselines and acceptance criteria.
• Automate performance testing to enable CI/CD and regression testing.
• Monitor production performance and optimize where needed.
• Document methodologies, scripts, and metrics for knowledge sharing.
• Support capacity planning and assess scalability and resources.
• Stay updated on new performance testing tools and best practices.
• Assist troubleshooting and remediation with technical teams.
