Job summary

Ascendion in Metro Manila is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to design, build, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications. You will perform functional, regression, API, and end-to-end testing, collaborating closely with development, product, and DevOps teams.

You will also help integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, develop robust test frameworks, and continually improve coverage and quality.

Qualifications

Experience designing and maintaining automated test scripts with Playwright.
Proven experience in functional, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
Strong collaboration with development, product and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and reusable test components.
Perform UI and API testing to validate application functionality and performance.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Analyze test results and prepare test execution reports.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and quality processes.
