Role Overview
The Performance and Data Manager leads the Shared Service Center performance, master data, and reporting function, serving as the backbone of workforce data integrity, operational insight, and performance governance across multiple regions.
This role is responsible for ensuring that workforce data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across all systems and regions. It provides clear visibility into demand, capacity, and operational performance, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the Shared Service Center.
The role also leads a team consisting of Master Data Specialists, a Performance and Reporting Analyst, and a Data Privacy Specialist, ensuring consistent execution of data governance, reporting accuracy, and performance management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data Integrity & Governance
- Own master data integrity, governance controls, and organizational hierarchy accuracy across the Shared Service Center
- Ensure consistent data standards across multiple regions including APAC, AME/LATAM, NCE, and MED
- Maintain data governance and compliance standards, including audit readiness and data privacy alignment in collaboration with the Data Privacy Specialist
- Apply standardized tiering rules and data governance frameworks across all regions
- Ensure workforce master data is accurately maintained in SuccessFactors (system of record) and aligned with ServiceNow (case and reporting system)
Workforce Data Change Oversight
- Oversee triage, validation, and execution of high-volume and high-impact workforce data changes
- Manage and guide the Master Data Specialist team in executing data updates within defined governance standards
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of workforce data changes across systems
- Monitor downstream impact of workforce data changes and ensure issues are resolved prior to payroll processing
Performance Insight & Reporting
- Own the design, production, and governance of Shared Service Center performance reporting and analytics
- Develop and maintain performance scorecards for leadership consumption
- Translate workforce and operational data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making
- Prepare the standard monthly performance pack for the Shared Service Center Performance and Delivery Forum
- Ensure reporting accuracy and quality prior to leadership review and presentation
Cross-System Reconciliation & Payroll Governance
- Own cross-system reconciliation processes between Shared Service Center and Payroll systems
- Ensure accurate data handoffs between workforce systems and payroll processing
- Identify and resolve discrepancies before they impact payroll operations
- Strengthen governance across system boundaries to reduce downstream payroll issues
Regional Performance Rhythm & Leadership Governance
- Chair weekly Regional Performance Reviews with Regional Service Managers and Analysts
- Drive a structured performance rhythm across regions to ensure accountability and visibility
- Escalate risks, issues, and performance gaps proactively to leadership
- Ensure consistent application of governance standards across regions
- Influence stakeholders to adopt data discipline, standards, and performance accountability
Team Leadership & Capability Management
- Lead and manage a team of Master Data Specialists, Performance and Reporting Analysts, and Data Privacy Specialists
- Develop team capability through coaching, structured feedback, and performance management
- Ensure consistent execution of data governance and reporting processes across all regions
- Maintain regional coverage, workload distribution, and operational capacity planning
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Strong experience in HR shared services environments
- Deep expertise in master data management, organizational hierarchies, and workforce data governance
- Proven experience managing multi-region data integrity, reporting, or performance management functions
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret trends, identify root causes, and generate insights
- Experience defining and enforcing data governance rules, tiering structures, and quality controls
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including cross-functional coordination between HR and Payroll functions
- Experience managing HR-to-Payroll data handoffs and reconciliation processes
- Strong people leadership experience managing operational or data-focused teams
- Experience working with SuccessFactors (required)
- Experience with ServiceNow (required)
