Position Overview
The PDC Specialist will serve as a practice development and business performance advisor to clinics, helping improve patient journey, conversion, counselling effectiveness, and overall clinic performance.
The role will work closely with clinics and frontline teams to identify business gaps, develop customised growth strategies, and support the successful implementation of the client's solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Consulting & Business Performance Advisory
- Conduct structured clinic audits covering the patient journey, conversion funnel, and clinic workflows.
- Identify gaps in lead management, counselling, and patient experience.
- Provide data-driven recommendations and customised growth plans with clear KPIs.
- Act as a strategic advisor to support long-term clinic growth.
PDC Strategy & Market Deployment
- Identify and prioritise high-potential clinics for targeted intervention.
- Align PDC programmes with SMILE PRO and PRESBYOND growth strategies.
Conversion Excellence & Patient Journey Optimisation
- Drive end-to-end conversion improvements, from lead generation through surgery.
- Improve appointment booking and consultation effectiveness.
- Optimise the in-clinic patient journey to minimise patient drop-offs.
Counselling Excellence & Capability Building
- Design and deliver training programmes for counsellors, optometrists, and call centre teams.
- Enhance communication, objection handling, and patient expectation management.
- Foster a "first procedure of choice" mindset among relevant stakeholders.
In-Clinic Branding, Tools & Materials
- Develop in-clinic tools, scripts, and educational materials.
- Simplify refractive concepts to make them easier for patients to understand.
- Ensure consistent in-clinic branding and communication for the solutions.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Optometry, Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, or any related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical devices, ophthalmology, or clinic/practice management.
- Proven experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Practice development or clinic consulting
- Sales enablement or commercial excellence
- Patient journey, clinic management, or customer experience
- Experience in training, coaching, and capability building for frontline teams, whether in small or large group settings.
- Experience in refractive, ophthalmology, or optometry is a strong advantage.
- Certifications or training in coaching, consulting, or customer experience are an advantage.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Practice development and clinic consulting expertise.
