OAMPI Inc. is seeking a Payroll Associate to support Australian payroll operations in a fast-paced environment. You will handle end-to-end processing, data entry, and compliance across multiple Australian entities.
Responsibilities include processing fortnightly payroll, validating timesheets, responding to inquiries, and maintaining confidential employee records with timely reporting.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Associate to join our team supporting Australian payroll operations. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on Australian payroll experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple Australian entities, supporting compliance requirements, and delivering quality service to employees and stakeholders.
Payroll Processing
Prepare, review, and accurately enter payroll data including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, allowances, and deductions
Support end-to-end processing of fortnightly Australian payroll
Validate timesheets and leave entries prior to payroll runs
Perform payroll calculations including overtime, penalties, and leave accruals
Compliance & Quality Checks
Help ensure payroll activities comply with Australian legislation and payroll regulations
Assist with payroll reconciliations and variance checks
Identify errors and support audit and reporting reviews
Employee & Stakeholder Support
Respond to payroll inquiries via shared mailboxes
Provide timely and professional support to employees and HR partners
Escalate complex issues to senior payroll team members when required
Data & Records Management
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files
Ensure strict confidentiality and data privacy standards
Prepare standard payroll reports as needed
Required
At least 2 years experience in end to end Australian payroll
Good Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, basic formulas)
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment
Willing to work Australian shift hours
Preferred
Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (ATO, superannuation, Modern Awards)
Experience with payroll systems such as Chris21/iChris, SAP, Oracle, Preceda, Pay Global, or similar
BPO or Shared Services experience supporting Australian or APAC clients
