Job summary

Open Access BPO is seeking a Payroll Associate to support end-to-end Australian payroll processing across multiple entities. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, validation of inputs, and timely payroll run completion in a high-volume environment.

You will work with systems like iChris/Chris21, SAP, Oracle, Preceda and Pay Global, handling confidential information with discretion. Excellent English and a service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in payroll, HR administration, data processing, or shared services
• Australian payroll experience is mandatory
• Familiar with Australian payroll legislation (ATO, Superannuation, Modern Awards)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and payroll systems
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
• Able to work in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines
• Independent and collaborative in a remote team
• Willingness to work an Australian/New Zealand shift

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing fortnightly payrolls in accordance with Australian legislation and deadlines
• Validate timesheets and leave entries for accuracy before final payroll
• Perform basic payroll calculations including overtime and leave accruals
• Ensure payroll transactions comply with Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and Superannuation rules
• Support reconciliation of payroll reports with gross-to-net checks and audits
• Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and HR departments via email inboxes
• Escalate complex queries to Payroll Lead or Manager as needed
• Maintain accurate payroll records with confidentiality and data privacy
