Job summary

Citi in Manila, Philippines, is seeking an AVP in Payment Operations Team Lead to drive initiatives, support senior leadership, and leverage digital tools for process enhancements. You will coordinate with multiple business units to optimize cash management and payments operations while ensuring risk controls and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5–8 years in payments or related operations, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, with exposure to FX and SWIFT messaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in Payment Operations, Cash Operations, Funds Transfer Operations, or Banking Operations.
• Experience with cross-border payments and SWIFT messaging.
• Knowledge of FX operations and BSP regulatory requirements.
• Strong project and stakeholder management with senior leaders.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Payment Operations head in meeting and delivering key initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for improvement using digital solutions/AI/Power BI.
• Contribute to special projects and provide feedback on project activities.
• Contribute to development of new cash management techniques and processes.
• Develop strategic decisions based on how Payment Operations interacts with other business units.
• Influence decisions and facilitate others in the area.
• Evaluate moderately complex issues with potential impact with Payment Operations Head.
• Ensure risk management and regulatory compliance, safeguarding Citi and its clients.
