Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in medical insurance verification or revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency with CPT codes, deductibles, copays and pre-authorizations.
• HIPAA compliance training and strict patient privacy focus.
• Strong English verbal communication for calls with carriers and leadership.
• Experience with TherapyAppointment or similar patient portals.

Responsibilities

• Verify active coverage, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and patient financial responsibility.
• Review benefits using CPT codes and billing details.
• Audit client files to track remaining sessions and coverage terminations.
• Enter verification notes into TherapyAppointment portal and update Google Sheets.
• Provide regular updates to Practice Owner and align on intake needs.
