Remote Staff, INC. is seeking an experienced Medical Insurance Verification Specialist to support our growing group practice.

This part-time, remote position handles health insurance verifications, patient benefits, and billing data with TherapyAppointment, while reporting to the Practice Owner. You will verify coverage, CPT codes, deductibles, and patient responsibility, update records daily, and communicate status to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in medical insurance verification or healthcare administration.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance terms, CPT codes, deductibles and copays.
• HIPAA compliance training or certification.
• Excellent verbal English communication for calls with carriers.
• Proficient with TherapyAppointment, Google Sheets and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Verify active health insurance coverage, deductibles, copays, and patient responsibility daily.
• Review CPT codes and coverage details for accuracy.
• Audit client files to track remaining covered sessions and terminations.
• Enter verification notes into TherapyAppointment and update Google Sheets.
• Provide daily status updates to Practice Owner and clarify client intake needs.
