Job summary

San Miguel Foods is seeking a Packaging/Process Engineer to design and develop new packaging concepts and translate them into viable prototypes that improve efficiency and reduce costs.

You will evaluate resources, liaise with suppliers and technical partners, and provide technical support during troubleshooting, commissioning, and handling of product complaints. Secure storage and shelf-life guidelines to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's / College Degree in Engineering (Packaging/Chemical), Food Technology or related fields.
• At least 5 years of work experience in basic food manufacturing processes and packaging development.
• Willing to be assigned to Pasig City office.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops new processes and packaging ideas and translates to viable prototypes.
• Improves and simplifies product processes and recommends cost-effective packaging materials.
• Evaluates resources and interfaces with suppliers/technical partners to support packaging and process applications.
• Provides technical assistance during troubleshooting, commissioning of new equipment, and handling of product complaints.
• Establishes storage, handling and shelf-life guidelines of products.

• Improves and simplify product processes and recommends least cost packaging materials as part of yield improvement, production efficiency and cost reduction program.
• Evaluates and secures resources required to support the application of process, equipment and packaging through active interfacing with suppliers and technical partners
• Provides technical assistance during troubleshooting of process related problems, commissioning or fabrication of new equipment or implements, and handling of product complaints.
• Establishes storage, handling and shelf-life guidelines of products.

Qualifications:

• At least Bachelors / College Degree on Engineering (Packaging/Chemical), Food Technology and other related technical fields.
• With at least 5 years work experience and expertise on basic food manufacturing processes and packaging development.
• Willing to be assigned in Pasig City office.
