Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Process Engineer (Packaging) to develop innovative, cost-effective packaging solutions ensuring product protection throughout manufacturing, storage, and distribution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support NPI, and drive continuous improvement while meeting quality and regulatory requirements.

The role reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager and requires strong CAD skills, materials expertise, and experience in packaging design and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum of 2 years experience in packaging design or packaging/manufacturing engineering.
Hands-on experience with corrugated boards, foam, plastics or similar substrates.
Proficient CAD skills in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD.
Knowledge of packaging standards and distribution environments.
Excellent analytical and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

Design packaging by CAD, specify BOMs and revision-controlled docs.
Evaluate material properties, stacking strength, cushioning and environmental conditions.
Develop test plans and validation activities per standards (ASTM/ISTA/ISO).
Support NPI with packaging solutions and technical guidance across teams.
Lead cost reduction and standardization initiatives for packaging.
Ensure sustainability and regulatory compliance of packaging designs.
